Blogging:
I love technology and I love the internet. Not in a 3:00a.m. alone in the dark staring at the flickering screen searching for inappropriate material way...but in a real, functional, useful way.
Technology, cell phones, internet all help me stay in touch with people all over the U.S. and all over the world. For example, this blog is hosted in London, England. (that's why the time/date stamp may seem odd on some postings). Does it matter? I don't think so. I can communicate with friends in California as easily as I can with the person sitting in the cube next me. I almost bought some studio lighting for photography from a guy in China off of eBay. A friend is considering moving out of the country...I'll still be able to stay in contact with him. I won't physically see him as often, but we can "talk" every day if we want...
Blogging is a way to communicate. I'd say mostly with friends, but sometimes with complete strangers, and sometimes just with Cyberspace. It can be freeing just to get something off your chest and write it out, whether anyone reads it or not.
So, I have a blog now...I enjoy it and it's good therapy for me, so I guess that's all that matters. I hope people read it, and I hope they glean something from it, but if not, no big deal...I'll keep going....
